Aphrodisiac Rose Cacao Bliss Bites

It's LOVE month, so of course I had to come up with a recipe with that theme in mind. These Aphrodisiac Bliss bites are a delicious way to boost energy and libido!

These little bites are loaded with superfoods and herbs that are known to boost sexual energy.

Ashwaganda: This Ayurvedic herb is a noted sexual and stamina tonic. It nourishes male energy, increases sperm count and quality, and enhances sexual "staying" power.

Maca: This adaptogen balances hormones and heightens libido. It is helpful in reducing the effects of stress in the body, which in turn allows us the energy for sex. It supports the actions of other aphrodisiacs in a formula.

Raw Cacao: This is every woman's favorite Aphrodisiac, right here! However, it's important to note that overprocessed, sugar ladened chocolate will not have the same effects as raw cacao. Cacao in it's raw state will increase serotonin and dopamine production. It is also a mild stimulant that brings about a state of euphoria - can you say "feel good chemicals!"

Rose: Rose opens the heart, allowing you to fully connect with others. It is the traditional symbol of love and desire.

Raw Honey: Raw honey has been shown to boost production of testosterone and estrogen - important hormones for libido! Make sure the honey you use is actually Raw and not heated!


1 cup tahini or almond butter

10 dates, soaked for 20 minutes

1 T raw honey

1/4 c. ground almonds

1/4 c. ground pistachios

1/8 c. ground rose petals (organic only)

2 T. raw cacao

1 T. Ashwaganda powder

1 T. Maca powder

1 t. ground cardamom

Raw Cacao Nibs

Blend the tahini or almond butter in a food processor with the dates, cardamom and honey. When well blended, transfer to a bowl and add the Ashwaganda, Maca and Raw Cacao powders. Mix well. Combine the almonds, pistachios and rose petals. Wet your hands and form small balls with the date mixture. Roll these in the nut/rose mixture. Sprinkle or roll in Cacao Nibs (optional). Enjoy right away or refrigerate. Will keep for 4 days in airtight container.
